This painting was infused with the touch of many people from our community here in Plainwell. My invitation to paint upon this surface, with fingers or brushes, was greeted with much enthusiasm, along with many childlike smiles, at the Art Hop in February 2012.
I delighted in connecting with this canvas and awaited nearly breathlessly, to see what would emerge. Since this deeply moving piece was created, I have since “invited” the community of Kalamazoo to do the same, at the Art Hop in June 2012, and then another, at my son and his brides wedding.
